PERMEABLE PAVER DRIVEWAY, LONDONDERRY NH

On this 4000 sqft permeable paver driveway in Londonderry, NH, Genest Tidewater 80mm pavers were used as the main body of the driveway with Belgard Mega-Bergerac 14″ x 14″ slabs as a border. Techo-Bloc Tundra curbing was also installed at the street end of the driveway. Several circle packs of Genest Katahdin 60mm pavers were also installed. On this project after doing several test holes to determine base soils, a full exfiltration system was chosen. After twenty-one inches of soil and asphalt excavation was completed, a highly permeable soil stabilization fabric was installed over the uncompacted subsoils. Twelve inches of #2 stone was then installed in 6-inch lifts compacted with a Weber CR8 compactor. A second layer of fabric was installed on top of the #2 stone just below four inches of #57 stone. The two layers of fabric were installed strictly for use as soil stabilization. After the 4 inches of compacted #57 stone was installed, a two-inch layer of #8 stone was installed for bedding of the pavers and slabs. Snap Edge edge restraint was used to secure the system. Several hundred pieces of 30″ rebar were used to secure the Snap Edge. Each piece of rebar was then connected together using 10′ long rebar sections that were wire tied to each 30″ piece. The paver joints were infilled with Alliance Gator Aqua Rock.
